16 months of amazing

Dear Elle Belle,

You are sixteen months of age and are doing new things every day.

I'll try my best to catch you up on the last few months...

You sing on cue. And you sing beautifully.

You eat whatever Mama and Daddy eat.

You sign again, more, and please.

You know most of your colors.

You love making animal sounds. You do sheep, goat, lion, tiger, elephant, and doggie noises. Your lion is the cutest roar I have ever heard in my life.

Elmo's Got the Moves is your new favorite song.

You've got the moves.

You have added I did it and Big Bird to your vocabulary.

You love picking out your own clothes.

You love pushing your dollies in their stroller and always make sure to wear your tea party hat before doing so.

You love coloring with Mama. And on Mama.

You sit on your potty whenever we ask you to, but you have yet to actually potty in it.

Unfortunately, you love to bite your cousins when no one is looking.

You always wave goodbye when someone is leaving without being prompted. It makes you seem like such an older little munchkin. Stop growing up so fast.

You blow kisses.

You give eskimo, butterfly, and regular ol' kisses.

You are a kissing monster.

You give sweet hugs.

You love to pretend eat and enjoy pretend feeding us and your stuffed animals.

You can identify every body part on your cute squishy body.

You motion "touchdown" every time a team makes it into the end zone. Daddy is so proud of that one.

You love to wear our shoes and tromp around the house beaming with pride.

Every time you drop something, you let out an enthusiastic gasp. Wonder where you picked up that one?

You break out in hives when you run a temperature. Mama is hoping this will go away as you grow older.

You love hiding something and then asking us with a shoulder shrug and raised arms, "where is it?".

You have an amazing memory.

You love pushing strollers, carts, and anything else with wheels.

Because you don't mind holding our hands when we're out, we rarely have to put you in your stroller.

You brush your hair. Yes, you actually have some hair.

You are smart, cute, and perfect, and we love you very much.
